Good Sleep with Space!
Your weekend away includes two full nights of comfortable (just like home) lodging.  Your get away also includes your bath and hand towels, linens, pillows and extra bedding if needed to make packing even more convenient. 
 
Guests will always have their own bed when staying with us.  The Queen rooms are reserved for those who want to share a private room with a friend.

The retreat can accomodate eight guests for a weekend. Private bookings for groups of 8 or more may be available on an individual basis.

Under no circumstances will our guests sleep on air mattresses, roll-aways, futons or hide-a-beds.

These are full/double beds.  Yes, we give you space. This room can, however, accomodate a party of up to 8 if the 4 top bunks wish to be used. Arrangements must be made prior to arrival.

The next most important thing to most of us is the food.  So what good stuff awaits your get away weekend?

FRIDAY

Hostess Welcome Party, Homemade Dinner and late night Dessert.

At 5:00 p.m. You will enjoy a Hostess welcome party.  This is an  hour of wine, crackers, cheeses and fresh fruit.  What a better way to relax, unpack and settle in for a wonderful creative weekend.

You can enjoy your glass of wine out on one of the decks and take in the fresh Michigan air.  The view of the lake is beautiful and you will  see wildlife about.  A mallard family is often taking a bath at our beach.

SATURDAY 

Three full meals (and then some)  are provided. Breakfast, Lunch, Appetizer, Dinner, Dessert and a few homemade goodies throughout the day. 

 

SUNDAY

Late a.m brunch and continued snacks until your departure.

 

ALL WEEKEND LONG

Endless snacks throughout the day!  We have both salty and sweet snacks to keep up with your changing cravings throughout the day.  In the evening we have buttered popcorn in case you want a break to enjoy a chick flick.  There are selections to pop into the DVD or Video player from the library. If you've got a special favorite, bring it along!  Marathon weekends of Sex in the City have been just a few group favorites.  We also encourage you to raid the snack baskets and jars filled with  more candy, chocolate, salty and sweet snacks.  We want to make sure you get plenty to eat!

NOTE: All your meals are homemade and prepared at the lake home.  Nothing is pre-cooked or ordered in. We apologize, but no substitutions can be made to the menu. If there are certain foods you need for dietary purposes, you should contact the hostess in advance of making your reservation.  Kimberly can discuss the menu in person with you.

There are several types of soft drinks available. Decaf and regular coffee are provided at breakfast.  We are more than happy to make a fresh pot for those that thrive on their java later in the day or evening.  A special little touch is our selection of Gourmet hot chocolates and instant Cappuccino. 

We also have a  5-gallon water dispenser, various juices, iced tea and aforementioned soft drinks. Refillable snap top bottles are provided for your use to keep filling up as needed.

Feel free to bring your own alcoholic beverages if you'd like such during your weekend.  Wine is only served during the hostess welcome hour.  The refrigerator has limited space due to all the food that is homemade.   Bring your beverage in a cooler if you'd like to drink during the weekend.

Bed linens and pillows are in each room.  We have extra blankets in drawers/closets just in case.  Electric blankets are put on the beds seasonally.  Each guest has 2 pillows provided on their bed (4 on the queen beds) but we do have more if you need some.

 Bath necessities: We have 3 full sized bathrooms.  Bath towels, wash cloths,  hand towels, shampoo, conditioner, bar soap and body gel are in all the bathrooms for your use if you forget yours.  We even supply the little stuff like Q-tips and cotton balls.  Hair dryer, hair spray, hair gel and body lotion are also available upon request. 

We have a large (4' double door) stand up shower, full size shower/tub and another large shower/jet tub for those wanting to soak it up.  These 3 bathrooms allow more than enough space for 10+ girls to spread out.  The upstairs bath also has double sink providing ample space.

 

Other little amenities that are provided for your convenience:
If so inclined, your retreat also has an ironing board/hand iron, full sized washer & dryer and laundry soap is provided.  We do hope your hubby has a "honey-do" list and is taking care of these matters while you are off with the girls.  We really do not want you to use these amenities and we want you to relax!

Oh wait, if you really want to see how much an M&M weighs after you eat it . . . . . . we also have a scale!
