How to Book your Weekend Getaway.....

We're new and want you to give us a try. We've done our homework and we GUARANTEE you will find our rates are lower than any other comparable competitor in Michigan. If there is a competitor out there that has a lower rate than us, please let us know and we will honor their rate provided their weekend is comparable to ours and their weekend is available.
Securing Reservations: There is a $100 non-refundable deposit (per person) required to secure your reservation. You may make a full payment at time of booking if you do not want to make a final payment at a later date. Reservations may be forfeited to guests on the waiting list if balance due is not paid 30 days prior to your arrival date. To secure your booking, final payment must be received by this due date. Final payment must clear no later than 14 days to arrival. Late payments must be paid in cash only at time of arrival.
Private Reservations: If you have a group larger than 8, please call as special arrangements can be made on a case-by-case basis. The retreat could accommodate 12 scrappers but there are certain arrangements we need to discuss. This would only be available to a party who is booking the entire lake house as a private weekend. Groups are encouraged to send all $100 deposits (per person) and registration forms (signed and completed by each guest) in one envelope. This will ensure your party has met the minimum guest requirement and the lake home remains private to your group only.
Rates: 2010 season rates are $240.00 per person. This cost is for your entire all-inclusive weekend. This price includes comfortable lodging, linens and towels, needed toiletries, unlimited beverages, endless snacks, fresh desserts, 5 prepared meals and our Signature Hostess Welcome Hour of wine and cheese (and more!), 24 hour use of crop room and tools. There are other little "things" offered during your weekend. We no longer post these unique ideas here as competitors are mimicking our original ideas such as the wine and cheese hour. Since we want your experience to be truly exceptional (and unique), we'll keep a few secrets until you arrive at the lake house!

Policies
Guaranteed Reservations: There is a $100 non-refundable/non-transferrable deposit (per person) required to secure your reservation. Reservations may be forfeited to guests on the waiting list if balance due is not paid 30 days prior to your arrival date. To secure your booking and avoid loss of deposit, final payment must be received by this due date. Each guest is responsible for making final payment. We cannot hold a reservation for a guest who is part of a larger party. We will guarantee your reservation provided payment is made. This policy is in place so guests on the waiting list have time to make arrangements to attend.
We encourage large groups to send in FULL payment together at time of booking in one envelope. This ensures everyone is paid and will be participating and your weekend is 100% secured.
Cancellation/Refund Policy: In the event of an unforeseen emergency which prevents you from attending Friday night, we encourage you to join us when you are able. If you are unable to make your reservation, consider sending someone in your place. Guests may transfer their paid-in-full weekend to a friend without penalty at any time. You may also call us in case we are able to fill your spot. A $50 processing fee will be charged for a successful booking of your room and table. As well as, issuing you a check refund of any balance remaining .
In the event of a cancellation of a guest reservation, the following policy will apply. Cancellations made prior to 30 days of your stay are eligible for a full refund (less your initial $100 deposit). Cancellations must be made in writing. Email is encouraged at scrapbookweekends@live.com. All cancellations will receive a confirmation number. Cancellations made less than 30 days of your stay, will forfeit the full weekend rate. Please consider your cancellation affects others who are booking a reserved weekend. We appreciate your understanding that much time and planning goes into running a successful weekend.
Discounts/Coupons: Discounts will be applied as stated in the terms and conditions of the coupon or special at the time of initial deposit. No substitutions/changes permitted for any reason after reservation has been made. You cannot double discount any weekend stay from various sources. Discounts/Coupons offered in magazines and scrapbook stores must be redeemed by expiration date. No exceptions so book early!
We offer various promotions from time to time to generate business or as a way to say thank you for your continued business. We always guarantee the lowest rate in Michigan for such a unique all-inclusive accomodation.
Minimum Guest Requirement: A weekend will run if there are a total of 6 guests in one group or between several groups. If a weekend fails to have at least 6 guests, it may be canceled. You will be notified in 21 days if your weekend is not fully booked and have the opportunity to request a full refund in writing or move your reservation to an alternate available weekend. If your weekend is moved into a new year that has a price increase, you will not be charged the price increase for that year. It's our way of staying thanks for moving your date and staying with us.
Returned Check Fee: There will be a $35.00 charge assessed to you for any returned check for insufficient funds. This must be paid in cash at your check-in.
Liability: Scrapbook Weekends, LLC. will not be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Please keep valuable jewelry and excess amounts of cash at home.
Full Refund: A full refund will be given when a retreat weekend must be canceled for any unforeseen reasons by Scrapbook Weekends, LLC.
Privacy Assurance: Personal information regarding our customers is never sold, rented, loaned or transferred to any third parties. Any information you provide is held with the utmost care and security.
