Registration and Policies

How to Book your Weekend Getaway.....

Check Availability: You may fill out form below and Kimberly will get back with you via method of your preference.  You can also Email Kimberly directly at scrapbookweekends@live.com we can confirm your date and number in your party together at this time.  You may also call 586-412-0904 and press 4 to enter the mailbox. Leave a clear message and speak slowly.  Kimberly will return your call within the week in the evening hours. 

Weekends are currently being booked for 2008.  We're new and want you to give us a try.   We've done our homework and we GUARANTEE you will find our rates are lower than any other comparable competitor in Michigan.  If there is a competitor out there that has lower rates than us, please let us know and we will honor their rate provided their weekend is comparable to ours and available the weekend of your choosing.  

Securing Reservations: There is a $100 deposit required to secure your reservation.  Reservations may be forfeited to guests on the waiting list if balance due is not paid 30 days prior to your arrival. To secure your booking, final payment must be received by this due date.  Private retreat bookings are encouraged to send all payments and registration forms for the group in one envelope.  This will guarantee any discounts offered and/or ensure your party has met the minimum guest requirement.

Private Reservations: If you have a group larger than 8, please call as special arrangements can be made on a case-by-case basis.

Rates: 2008 season rates are $200.00 for current weekends available.  Again, we challenge you to compare our rates to anyone else in Michigan.  We intend to offer you a weekend that will make you want to return year after year.   

Policies

Guaranteed Reservations: There is a $100 deposit required to secure your reservation.  Reservations may be forfeited to guests on the waiting list if balance due is not paid 30 days prior to your arrival. To secure your booking, final payment must be received by this due date. 

Cancellation/Refund Policy: In the event of an unforeseen emergency which prevents you from attending Friday night, we encourage you to join us when you are able. If you are unable to make your reservation, consider sending someone in your place. Guests may transfer their weekend to a friend without penalty at any time.  You may also call us in case we are able to fill your spot. A $50 processing fee will be charged for a successful booking of your room and table.  

In the event of a cancellation of a guest reservation, the following policy will apply. Cancellations made prior to 30 days of your stay are eligible for a full refund of all payments made and must be made in writing. Email is encouraged at scrapbookweekends@live.com.  All cancellations will receive a confirmation number. Cancellations made between 14 days and 30 days of your stay, forfeit the $100 initial deposit. Cancellations made within 14 days of your stay, forfeit the full amount.

Full Refund: A full refund will be given when a retreat weekend must be canceled for any unforeseen reasons by Scrapbook Weekends, LLC.  A minimum of 6 guests are required for any weekend retreat stay.  You will be notified in 21 days if your weekend is not fully booked and have the opportunity to request a full refund in writing or move your reservation to an alternate weekend.



Minimum Guest Requirement: A weekend will run if there are a total of 6 guests in one group or between several groups. If a weekend fails to have at least 6 guests, it may be canceled. See above on full refund policy.

Returned Check Fee: There will be a $35.00 charge assessed to you for any returned check for insufficient funds. This must be paid prior to your arrival.



Liability: We will not be held responsible for lost or stolen goods. Please keep valuable jewelry and excess amounts of cash at home.

Privacy Assurance: Personal information regarding our customers is never sold, rented, loaned or transferred to any third parties. Any information you provide is held with the utmost care and security.

Confirmation of Booking

Registration Confirmation: A confirmation will be emailed to you when your registration form and deposit are received. If you do not have email, a confirmation will be sent to you by regular mail.

Private Party Confirmations: It is important that ALL party members have made payment in full 30 days prior to arrival.   Event leaders are encouraged to send registration forms and payments from their party members in one envelope.  This will guarantee any discounts offered and/or ensure your party has met the minimum guest requirement.



Pre-Registration Form

Please complete all portions of the form so we can check accommodations for your group.  You will be contacted to confirm your date of preference and it's availability via contact method selected below.


Your date will tentatively be held if it's available for 10 days, once you have been contacted.  A deposit must be received to secure date after this time. If no deposit is received within 10 days, your date of inquiry will still be open for booking.

Check In/Out
Check In: Arrival begins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.  Please do not arrive sooner as we cannot accommodate you prior to 5 p.m. We make every attempt to give each vehicle front door service and a helping hand with their belongings.  We ask that you move your vehicle to the designated parking areas once you have unloaded your belongings. Carpooling is a lot of fun and encouraged.

Check Out: Room check out is at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday so housekeeping can begin.  This is to ensure no personal belongings have been left in the bedrooms or bathrooms. However, you may continue to crop up until 2:00 p.m. in the crop room.  Please have your scrapping supplies packed out of the crop room and be saying your good-bye's by this checkout time.

Happiness Policy

Smoking:  For the health and comfort of each guest, the retreat must remain smoke-free.  A scenic view of the lake with comfortable seating is provided for smokers outside on our large decks.

Hard Working Hostess Guarantee: We strive to do our utmost to ensure you have a happy scrapping weekend. However, we and other guests are all human which makes us unique and open to mistakes.  We ask you speak to the hostess if you are having a problem with anything/anyone at the time it occurs.  It makes it very hard to fix a problem if you inform us after your visit.  We want to make your stay as perfect as possible from the comfort of your bed, the temperature of the room, to the sweetness of your treats.  We have an "open door" policy at all times so please, please, please speak with the hostess so we can make our greatest attempt to keep you happy and comfortable.  We strive to build relationships.  We want you happy so you will come back again and again.  Let us know how we can make it better!
