Head to Gladwin, Michigan and stay with us right on Secord Lake. Secord Lake is a 2000 acre all sports lake. Take in the spectacular view of the lake through floor to ceiling windows or out on any of the three large decks. The area is surrounded by beautiful trees and offers an up north atmosphere. This feature is raved about by former guests. Almost so relaxing you don't want to scrap!

*So what is "...and more" anyway? - - - - You do not need to be a "scrapper" to book the lake house. The lake home is large enough to hold groups for various types of weekend getaways. Private bookings of the lake home are available if the minimum of 6 guests is met. If such a weekend is booked, it will remain a private weekend for the group and you will have full run of the household and property. No discounts/coupons will be accepted for these type of private non-scrapping weekends.
BACHELORETTE PARTIES – You can have a weekend away with the girls by enjoying a "place of your own" for the whole weekend. Mt. Pleasant is about 45 minutes away if you want to visit the Soaring Eagle Casino. You can shop 20 minutes north at the Tanger Outlet Mall. Right in the town of Gladwin is the Riverwalk Place. Treat yourselves to spa services then come home to relax on the lake.
POKER, PURSE, JEWELERY, etc. PARTIES We will be glad to accomodate any type of craft/card games you and your friends enjoy. Contact hostess with your request and every effort will be made to make a special weekend away for your group or club. Tables will remain set up for your group to gather, play or display merchandise during the weekend.
BIRTHDAY PARTIES – All desserts will still be served during your weekend. But, we will be sure you have a cake with enough candles to commemorate the special day .
COUPLES GET AWAY- The girls can scrapbook or shop during the day while the guys have a day of golf or enjoy some ORV riding. The Dream, The Nightmare, Buck’s Run, and Sugar Springs are just a few golf courses in the area. View the ORV trail in Gladwin County if you are an outdoor enthusiast. Consider using the lake too for fishing or boating. Public boat launch is very close to lake house. Property can also accomodate a trailer for you to bring your toys to enjoy. Bonfires provided nightly while you unwind together. Private rooms are provided for all couples with King or Queen sized beds. Please call for details.
SPECIALIZED GROUPS – One parent/guardian must accompany any group with guests under the age of 18. Off-to-college, Mom and daughters, Girl Scout Gatherings, Sweet 16 party and any other groups. Wine and cheese welcome hour may not be offered on this type of group weekend based on age of guests attending.
